Trade secrets protection begins with the education of clients in practices and policies designed to minimize or contain problems. We establish and strengthen trade secret policies for a wide range of commercial and industrial clients, develop documents and contracts and pursue legal remedies, including litigation, when necessary. We work quickly on behalf of our clients - for Engelhard Corporation we obtained a speedy temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction against a competitor. In a case concerning trade secrets and patents involving sugar chemistry, the firm negotiated a $125 million settlement for Procter & Gamble from Nabisco, Keebler and Frito Lay on the eve of trial - the largest such settlement up to that point in time.
