As one of the nation's leading intellectual property law firms, Morgan & Finnegan offers qualified first- and second-year law students the chance to explore various disciplines in a field that is as varied as it is focused. The goals of our Summer Associate Program are two-fold: to provide you with the opportunity to do meaningful work as you consider a career in intellectual property law, and to help us choose the candidates we believe would thrive here as young associates.
The program has ranked first among New York City IP firms and among the top IP firms across the country for three consecutive years in The American Lawyer Summer Associate Survey. Our high ratings are a reflection of the care we take to provide opportunities that culminate in a satisfying summer experience. The survey is based on summer associate ratings in a variety of quality-of-life issues: how much real work was assigned, the training and guidance that were provided, the interaction with partners and other associates, how well the firm communicated its goals and expectations, how accurately the firm portrayed itself during interviews, and the overall rating of the firm as a place to work.
